What I do outside of class.
When I am not studying or working on assignments, I spend my free time jumping between a few different technical and entertainment hobbies.
PC Gaming and Custom Modding
I am really into PC gaming, but specifically, I love building custom modding environments. I spend a lot of time tweaking configurations, installing mods, and adjusting shaders for games like Minecraft and Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO to push the visual and mechanical limits of the games.
- Nexus Mods - The best place to find community-created mods for almost any game.
- Prisim - A fast and reliable platform specifically for downloading Minecraft mods and shaders.
- Steam - My main hub for tracking my PC game library and exploring workshop content.
Surrealist Horror and Cinema
I am a massive fan of cinema, particularly surrealist horror and psychological thrillers. I love binge-watching movies and analyzing the strange, dream-like atmosphere in films. David Lynch is one of my favorite directors because of his bizarre and unique storytelling style.
- Letterboxd - A great social network for film lovers to log, rate, and review movies they watch.
- David Lynch IMDb - The full filmography of the director behind Eraserhead and Twin Peaks.
- JustWatch - An incredibly useful tool to find out which streaming service is currently playing the movies I want to watch.
iOS App Development
On top of web development, I enjoy messing around with iOS app development. I use Xcode and Swift to program my own logic and interfaces. Recently, I have been building smaller projects like math quiz applications and custom grading calculators to practice writing cleaner code.
- Apple Swift Documentation - The official source for learning how to program using Apple's Swift language.
- Xcode Features - Information on the main development environment I use to build out my app interfaces.
- GitHub - The platform I use to look at open-source projects and get inspiration for new app ideas.
